Character Worlds

Here’s a photographic glimpse into the worlds of some of the characters.  If you’re on Pinterest, feel free to drop the links to your own character worlds into the comments below!

  1. Aydan’s World needs a home-made bread recipe, and maybe some bagels or toast and PB. The old truck and car too. Sorry, I’m not a car gal, so I remember no dates or make and model #s. Maybe some of her favorite knives too. I loved seeing what the ankle holster looks like. Thanks. Lovely land! Gorgious garden! Your visual of Arnie is mighty fine, but you did mention more than once how damaged and ugly his face is. That guy is too pretty. Love the afgans and John Lee the cat. I had a main coon in mind, but that one works well.

I’m fostering a Main Coon Mutt cat this year. Nice cat for the most part- clumsy, huge, and the softest fur I’ve ever felt. Looks a lot like the cat you put up- a black striped tabby. He’s not a lap cat, but he’s a people cat.

    • Definitely a bread recipe, and the other goodies, too! I’ve been wanting to get back to the Pinterest pages, but life has just been too hectic lately with all our move stuff. Soon, I hope!

And you’re right about Arnie – I just can’t seem to find any photos with the proper face. I guess guys like Arnie don’t get photographed too often. 😉

I love Maine Coon cats – they’re such sweeties! We’ve come close to getting another cat (or two), but we haven’t taken the plunge yet. If we do, it might be a Maine Coon.

  2. Just discovered you on Sunday! Now I have the first 2 “spy” books finished and have just downloaded 3 more. Love, love, love your writing style. So much realism and so little stupid fluff. You are now, officially my favorite author. Your characters are exactly my type…big, brawny men. My husband is blind and handicapped, so I’m going to NLS.Bard to see if your books are there as well. He will love them as much as I do I’m sure. Keep on writing, only faster…I’ll be catching up with you in a couple of weeks.

    • Hi Jan! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series – thank you for dropping by to tell me!

I had to go and look up NLS.Bard – I’d never heard of it. It sounds like an excellent service. I’m not sure how they supply or choose books, but I hope you find my books there. If not, please let me know and I’ll see if I can get them added.

I’ll be starting to write Book 12 soon, but somehow I suspect it won’t be ready before you catch up… 😉

      • Nope, your books aren’t on BARD. I looked. Even under misspellings of your name (they mess up sometimes). Didn’t find you on audible either. Any plans to get your books in audible form? OBTW, Aydan and her boys have removed me from the night-owl list. Since I only read when I’m in bed, I’ve been turning in before the sun goes down here in Northern Wyoming so I can “hang out” with them longer.

        • Mmmm, hanging out in bed with the boys sounds like an excellent pastime! 😉

I’m sorry you couldn’t find the books on BARD. When I checked into it, they said they didn’t accept submissions from authors so the suggestion would have to come from members. Here’s a quote from their email: “Suggestions for new titles to be added to the collection must be submitted to the talking-book libraries in the states at the request of the patrons of the talking-book service. (See the “Find a Library” link on the NLS Home page at: http://www.loc.gov/nls/find.html.) It is then the responsibility of the talking-book libraries in the states to identify two positive reviews of the title. The title must be submitted to the Library of Congress for review and consideration. “

I do have a bit of good news, though: Never Say Spy (Book 1) has already been produced as an audiobook, and I’m hoping to have it available on Audible soon. It’s a convoluted process because they don’t accept submissions from Canada, but I think I’ve got a workaround. I’ll announce it on my blog and Facebook as soon as it’s available. Fingers crossed! 🙂

    • Not stalkerish at all – it’s great to get your comments! The book club isn’t up yet, but there’s a link to some preliminary questions about your book club preferences at the bottom of the Ping-Pong Brain post. Once everybody has a chance to weigh in on what they’re hoping for, I’ll set it up.
