Wow, I can’t believe it’s Christmas Day already!
This seems like a perfect time to say a huge and heartfelt Thank You! to all of you wonderful readers who support my writing habit and brighten my days with your emails and blog comments. You bring me happiness, inspiration, and frequent belly laughs!
May you have joy in your celebrations, comfort in your times of trouble, and peace and prosperity now and in the New Year.
Thank you, all! 🙂
Book 15 update: I’m finishing Chapter 23, and it’s time for Aydan to confront her nemesis… or sneakily avoid him. I’m not sure yet which it’ll be…
Here’s to book 15!! Can’t wait to read it…not that I’m being pushy!?! Happy 2020!!

LOL! You’re not being pushy at all — I’m as eager to write it as you are to read it. 🙂 Happy 2020!

Happy (Belated?) Christmas and Boxing Day and all that wonderful stuff!
Stuff? Stuffed? We’re in detox here from the holiday foods. The cookies, the roasts and mashed potatoes, the Bailey’s…quite a shock to the system! So it’s back to lean proteins and celery sticks, as I like to say. And a nice quiet and non-hectic day of not having to leave the house if we don’t want to.

Ahhhh, heaven. That’s what I’m doing today, too: Lying around home, reading, not working (for a change), and NOT eating rich, sweet, high-fat foods. I’m sure that’ll last, oh… at least a few more hours, and then I’ll be bellying up to the trough again. But when the leftovers are gone, I’ll be back to my usual healthy(ish) diet. As much as I enjoy my pig-outs, I can’t (and don’t want to) eat like that for more than a few days.
Happy Belated to you, too! 🙂

My excuse is, “Well, we can’t just throw these cookies out, y’know…” 😁 Chasing them down with some Bailey’s probably isn’t the most healthy thing either!

No, probably not; but some things are good for the body and others are good for the soul! 🙂

Homemade stock, the very best kind! With a bit of celery, perhaps, and a touch of rosemary. Oh, and a clove or two of garlic, of course. Crushed a little, not minced. And all in a twist of cheesecloth so it can be removed afterward. Sorry, preaching to the choir again. You know how I get. Stock on, Sista! Er, to coin a phrase. 😉

Mmm, your stock sounds better than mine. 🙂 Garlic is a no-no in our house due to Hubby’s vampire-like aversion, but I’m right there with you on the celery and rosemary (and some thyme and parsley, too).

No garlic? Ah, yes. Right. The garlic interferes with Hubby’s teeth. The long ones in the front, as I recall. Then try a pinch of sage. And another of cayenne. You know, so it’ll have a little zip.
I think I might take a little peek inside the refrigerator. Is it just me, or is it getting a bit hungry in here…?

And TARRAGON!! What was I thinking to forget tarragon?? Oh, and just a dash of Worcestershire. A bit more savory that way. Good stuff, Sista. Okay, I’m done here. 🤪
